Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai Details Story Mode

Today’s news may not surprise anime fans, as it pertains to the Story Mode in the upcoming Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai.

Since the game is based on the homonymous anime, its story will retell the same arcs while we accompany the adventures of Dai, Popp, Maam, and Hyunckel.

The journey follows the tale of the four playable characters up to the battle of Sovereign Rock, a saga that takes place at the end of the anime’s first half. We wonder if this means we’ll get another Infinity Strash in the future or perhaps DLCs to complement the story.

The plot will be retold precisely as in the anime, featuring some storytelling moments with movies or manga-like scenes that serve as a breather between the frantic battles in the action RPG.

In addition, players who are not proficient in action games can activate the Storyteller difficulty and just enjoy the plot without worrying about the challenges presented by Dark Army.

Introducing Bond Memories to Empower Characters

Square Enix also shared news regarding a new mechanic called Bond Memories. They’re items portraying some iconic scenes from the anime and can be equipped to empower the corresponding characters whose backgrounds pertain to them.

These memories can be collected during the Story Mode or from the Temple of Recollection.

There are three types of rarity for Bond Memories: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The higher the level, the better the effect. Platinum Bond Memories have exceptional capabilities that expand the scope of each character’s abilities.

The lower-rarities Memories increase attributes, such as magical status, while higher-quality ones enhance a move. For example, Dai’s Air Slash Bond Memory increases the damage caused by the hero’s abilities as well as the power of his Air Slash move.

Bond Memories joins other features such as Coups de Grâce and Unique Skills to make each gameplay experience with the four party members totally different and expand the game’s scope.

Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai is now available for digital pre-orders and pre-purchase on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version will be available at a later date.
