Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Achievement Walkthrough

Before we take a look at the long list of individual achievements you’ll be hunting down throughout your playthrough, it’s essential to go through a walkthrough. This is not only to make sure that your playthrough is as efficient as possible but also to know what the process will all demand of you before you jump in.

This will also help you know which order to tackle the game’s massive content and ensure that you don’t miss the few missable achievements during your playthrough.

Step One: The Hero’s Origins

assassin's creed odyssey Make It Your Own

The first part of your playthrough will be naturally experiencing the base game. When you first start Odyssey, you are given the option of playing either the female Kassandra or her brother Alexios. Feel free to play either one, as neither is tied to any achievements, and both can do everything in the game equally.

As you play through the story, feel free to do as much side content and collectibles as you come across them, but also feel free to save them for later and do them all in one go when you’re on a higher level and get through them faster.

However, you’ll want to keep an eye out for recruitable soldiers for your boat and get as many of them as is possible during your playthrough. You can also level up your character in any way that you want, as there are plenty of skill points that you’ll get during your playthrough.

Also, make sure that you have a romance with a character to achieve Aphrodite’s Embrace, as it is technically missable if you just never pick a romance option.

Either during the story or afterward, you’ll want to look out for the following five questlines that each has an achievement associated with them:

  • Daughters of Artemis
  • Markos
  • Hippokrates
  • Xenia
  • Olympic

There are plenty of other questlines as well, but you don’t necessarily have to play them if you don’t feel like doing so or want to cut down on the playtime. Once those are out of the way, you can start working on uncovering the entire map. To do this, you’ll have to step on every small region, including every tiny island in all of the clusters.

This is also an excellent time to complete all of the underwater locations, which we’ll go into more detail on below. As you travel around, you can also use the time to grind out any side content or job board quests that you have and the few miscellaneous achievements that take you around the map.

Once you have that done, you’ll want to head to the arena in Pephka. By now, you should be a high enough level to finish all of its fights, but just make sure that you’re at least level 46 to stand a chance at beating the final level 50 combatant.

Then, you can start hunting down all of the other mercenaries that are higher ranked than you and kill all of the cultists that you can track on the map. Once those are done, you’ll want to work on the side quest A Family’s Legacy on Thera Island to track down Atlantis and start hunting the four world bosses.

As you do all of the above, make sure to upgrade your ship whenever you can consistently, and by now, you should be pretty close to reaching level 50. Then, you can clean up the last few miscellaneous achievements you have in the base game before moving on to the DLC content.

Step Two: The Hero’s Odyssey

Setting the Stage - Elis Assassin's Creed Odyssey

The first DLCs you should tackle are the numerous tiny Lost Tales of Greece DLCs. Each one includes a small questline to play through, and none of them should take you more than an hour on their own. Each quest you have to do for these and where to find them are below.

  • Setting the Stage – Elis
  • Test of Judgement – Kraneion Plains
  • The Measure of a Man – Elis
  • A Gathering Storm – Phokis
  • Praxilla’s Admirer – Mount Helikon
  • Prodigal Son’s Return – Isthmus of Poseidon
  • Odyssey into the Past – Skyros Island
  • The Heir of Memories – Given to you after completing the Fate of Atlantis quest
  • Righting a Wrong – White Crystal Hills
  • Letter from home – Adrestia
  • Where We Left Off – Forest of Soron

None of these quests are very long, and there is a good variety between their stories. Still, since there are so many of them, you may want to break them up and mix them into the last step as doing all of them in a row can feel as though it takes forever, especially with all of the traveling around the map to start each one.

Once you’re done with them, you can also tackle the quests The Lightning Bringer and The Bright One since you’ll be over level 45. Each one tasks you with fighting a unique cyclops, but both of the fights are pretty simple.

Step Three: The Legacy of the First Blade

The DLC, The Legacy of the First Blade, is a series of DLC packs that all explore one storyline. To start it, you have to head to the Triple Peninsula of Chalkidike in Makedonia and find the quest The Horsemen Cometh. At this point, you should be plenty leveled since the start of the quest only requires you to be at least level 28.

Once you start the first episode of the DLC, you should be taken linearly throughout the entire thing. You’ll get numerous achievements just for playing through them, but make sure also to use the Rapid Fire ability as much as possible, light enemy ships on fire, and kill all of the Ancients of the Order of the Storm as you go.

However, none of the achievements here are missable, so you can always go back and get any you missed.

Step Four: The Fate of Atlantis

The Fate of Atlantis is similar to The Legacy of the First Blade in that it is a series of smaller DLCs that all follow the same story. Go to the Gateway to the Lost City and star the quest named The Isu Beckon to begin the quests. For the first episode, make sure to look out for The Conqueror achievement since it is technically missable.

Other than that, worry about the miscellaneous achievements after you complete its story, as the main quests will take you through all areas and get you a lot of progress toward them anyway.

Once you’re done with the main story of the DLC, you’ll just have to mop up any of the random achievements you haven’t finished yet, and then you’ll be all done.
